In Russia, work is underway to create automated parcel lockers. They will be able to receive parcels delivered by drones. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak at the "Microelectronics 2025" forum.
There are projects to develop automated parcel lockers that can receive parcels delivered by drones.
He emphasized that there is significant economic potential in such delivery, and the entire process should take place without human intervention.
For example, there is such a parcel locker, you order delivery, and a drone delivers the goods to this parcel locker.
According to him, a notification will be sent to a person's smartphone. After that, he will be able to pick up the parcel. The official is confident that it will not be long before such solutions are implemented.
