Russia plans to complete the delivery of five S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) to India by 2026. This information was reported on Monday by a source familiar with the system of military-technical cooperation between Russia and foreign countries.
The contract for the supply of S-400 became one of the largest in the history of Russian-Indian military-technical cooperation, its value is estimated at several billion dollars. The implementation of this agreement will significantly strengthen India's defense capability, providing it with the ability to effectively counter air threats at long ranges. To date, India has already received four S-400 Triumph systems.
Russia and India have maintained close ties in the field of defense for many years. India is one of the largest importers of Russian weapons, and the S-400 will be an important addition to the existing arsenal. It is expected that the integration of the S-400 into the Indian defense system will be carried out with the active participation of Russian specialists.
The S-400 Triumph SAM system is one of the most modern and effective air defense systems in the world. It is capable of engaging a wide range of targets, including aircraft, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and other airborne objects, at a range of up to 400 kilometers.
