The strategic microelectronic enterprise "Angstrem" was freed from debts of 1.2 billion euros for the activities of "Angstrem-T". The state corporation VEB.RF bought the debtor's property for only 1 ruble as compensation for the debt.
The court ruled to terminate the guarantee agreement of "Angstrem", which burdened the company with a debt of 1.2 billion euros.
According to sources, it is about the guarantee agreement of January 16, 2012 - "Angstrem" acted as a guarantor between "Angstrem-T" and VEB.RF.
The parties concluded a loan agreement in April 2008 - VEB provided the enterprise with a credit line of 815 thousand euros for the creation of production of submicron semiconductor components with topological standards of 0.11-0.13 μm in the city.
However, the plant was never built, "Angstrem-T" went bankrupt, and the debt on the loan, which reached 1.3 billion euros (815 million euros of debt on the loan, 467.5 million euros of interest and 25.7 million euros of penalties) passed to "Angstrem".
The Angstrem website says that the company is the leading Russian enterprise of the full cycle for the production of microchips and power semiconductor devices.
Earlier, the general director of Supertel OJSC, Konstantin Lukin, stated that over the past three years, practically nothing has been done in Russia in the field of import substitution of electronic components of telecommunications equipment.
