Russia is moving closer to independence in aircraft construction. This was stated by the Managing Director and General Designer of JSC "ODK-Aviadvigatel", Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Inozemtsev.
We are the only country in the world that can - and we are almost there - independently make both the plane and the engine. We did it before and we will do it now.
He noted that even the United States cannot produce these technologies without cooperation with other countries, which emphasizes the significance of Russia's achievement in this area.
