Will Provide Convenient Access to the M-4 "Don" Highway: Construction of New MCD Section Begins

A total of 2.3 kilometers of roads will be built and renovated

Construction of a new section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MCD) has begun. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

We will build and reconstruct a total of 2.3 kilometers of roads. In parallel, we are actively working on a neighboring section — from Sevanskaya Street to the Moscow High-Speed Diameter. Here, we are building several overpasses and a tunnel under Bakinskaya Street, which is more than a third complete.
Sergei Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow

The section under construction will connect Kashirskoye Highway with the Paveletskoye direction of the Moscow Railway. This project will significantly improve transport accessibility for five districts of the capital — Tsaritsyno, Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye, Moskvorechye-Saburovo, Biryulyovo Zapadnoye, and Vostochnoye.

The new section will also provide convenient access to the M-4 "Don" highway, which will increase the efficiency of traffic flows in this direction. The main construction work is planned to be completed next year, which will allow residents and visitors to the capital to move around the city faster and more comfortably.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the rules for traveling on the Moscow High-Speed Diameter will change from February 15, 2025.
