The truck manufacturer has successfully obtained a patent for a new logo - a seahorse. This does not mean a rebranding or relaunch; the new icon will only appear on a separate new line of products from the plant intended for operation in port areas.
Back in August 2024, a subsidiary called "KamAZ - Port Machines" was registered, and in the fall, a closed showing of vehicles for potential clients was held. The vehicles can have both front-wheel and all-wheel drive, a curb weight of 7.5 to 9 tons, and a carrying capacity of around 33 tons.
The machine will be frame-based, and the gearbox, transfer case, and the frame itself must be Russian-made. The first prototype was supposed to be assembled in early 2025, and a pilot batch in 2026. The new name for the tractors is Galleon, which also refers to the maritime theme.
