The head of Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, discussed with Indian partners the serial construction of large and small Russian-designed nuclear power plants (NPPs) on Indian territory. This was reported by the press service of the Rosatom State Corporation.
The parties discussed the potential for expanding cooperation and serial construction in India of large and small nuclear power plants based on Russian design.
Rosatom sent the VVER-1000 reactor vessel for the sixth power unit of the Kudankulam NPP to India in early 2025. The construction of four new power units according to the Russian project continues at the Indian station.
