The new nuclear submarine cruiser K-572 "Perm" of project 885M code "Yasen-M" has completed the first stage of factory sea trials in the White Sea.
The ship was built at the "Northern Machine-Building Enterprise" (SMP, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation).
The keel-laying of the lead nuclear submarine cruiser K-572 "Perm" took place on July 29, 2016 in Severodvinsk.
The project was developed at the St. Petersburg Marine Engineering Bureau "Malakhit".
The cruiser "Perm" was rolled out of the SMP boathouse on March 27, 2025. At the ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that "Perm" became the first multi-purpose submarine in the country armed with hypersonic cruise missiles "Zircon".
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the frigate "Admiral Golovko" launched a hypersonic "Zircon" in the Barents Sea with guidance from a Tu-142.
