A new batch of KamAZ-65221 semi-trailer tractors with additional protection has been produced for the Russian military. The equipment was spotted during transportation by rail.
Standard electronic warfare (EW) systems designed to suppress drones have been installed in the rear of the truck cabs.
Protection against shrapnel and bullets is provided by an armored cab. The KamAZ-65221 is designed to tow trailers weighing up to 70 tons on hard surfaces and improved dirt roads. The 6x6 vehicle is equipped with a 400 hp engine.
The KamAZ-65221 has single-tire rear axles. However, this tractor transports T-90M and T-72B3M tanks at its limit - the total weight of the semi-trailer does not exceed 51 tons.
The KAMAZ-65221 semi-trailer tractor is also equipped with a ZF mechanical gearbox with 16 gears.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Admiral Nakhimov missile cruiser has completed the first stage of testing.
