Russia plans to develop high-speed transportation technologies, including Hyperloop vacuum trains, within the next 10 years. These plans are outlined in the materials of the Russian government for the strategic session "Development of High-Speed Transport Communication (Rail and Roads)."
Alternative technologies will also be developed in the next 10 years. For example, magnetic levitation technologies, train movement in a vacuum environment (Hyperloop).
A maglev (magnetic levitation) train has been successfully operating in Shanghai on the route from the airport since 2004. China is also creating a locomotive that reaches speeds of up to 600 km/h. It will reduce travel time between Beijing and Shanghai from 5.5 to 2.5 hours.
In addition, a line is being built in Japan between Tokyo and Nagoya, with a length of over 280 km, where the expected speed will be 500 km/h. A train has been developed for this project. In 2015, it set a world speed record of 603 km/h. The completion of the line is scheduled for 2034.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Aurora" will be included in the Russian Book of Records.
