The record will be recorded in the category "Regular train with the largest number of passenger seats".

On Wednesday, June 11, the high-speed double-decker train No. 744 "Aurora" will depart from the Leningradsky railway station in Moscow to St. Petersburg with 18 cars, which will carry 1,504 passengers. Thus, "Aurora" will be included in the Russian Book of Records.

The "Aurora" train ran between the two capitals from 1963 to 2010, and all this time single-decker cars were used in its composition. Initially, the cars were painted in dark cherry color with a yellow window belt, and the inscription "Aurora" was made with overlaid letters. Later, the corporate coloring changed to gray-blue with a dark blue stripe along the bottom of the body and a red inscription "Aurora".

The interior of the updated train cars is equipped with aircraft-type seats, air conditioners and fluorescent lighting. "Aurora" returned to the route in the fall of 2024. Now the train runs on the Moscow-St. Petersburg route. The journey time is 5 hours 25 minutes.
