The survey has been completed and the initial type approval of the DS53719 marine engine type 6ChN11/13.5 has been carried out. The engine was manufactured by the production and engineering company "Yaroslavl Diesel".
The new power plant was developed on the basis of the well-proven YaMZ-537 diesel engine produced by "Autodiesel" (Yaroslavl Motor Plant), by adapting it for use on water transport. All work was carried out in accordance with the Register-approved documentation.
The DS53719 engine is designed for use as a main or auxiliary marine engine on sea vessels that are built or operated under the class of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. During the tests, the equipment demonstrated full compliance with all applicable Register requirements for safety, reliability and efficiency. Following the results of the work, a Type Approval Certificate was issued for the engine.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Yaroslavl "Autodiesel" presented a 12-cylinder YaMZ-855 engine with a capacity of over 1000 hp.
