The heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser (TARK) "Admiral Nakhimov" has completed the first stage of testing and returned to the factory water area in Severodvinsk. This was reported on the social network X by osint analyst MT Andersen.
The heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser (TARKR) "Admiral Nakhimov" previously went to sea for the first stage of factory sea trials in the White Sea. Now the tests will continue for several months in the Barents Sea.
During the modernization, 20 vertical launchers of the cruiser for powerful P-700 anti-ship missiles were replaced with 80 launchers for placing standard-sized cruise missiles.
Also, 96 launchers were allocated for installing surface-to-air missiles of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM), which is equivalent to the firepower of three full divisions of ground-based installations of this type.
All this makes the armament of the "Admiral Nakhimov" the most powerful among surface warships in the world.
