During the Zapad-2025 exercises, Airborne Forces servicemen will land behind the lines of a mock enemy

Servicemen of the Airborne Forces (VDV) of Russia, during joint strategic exercises with the Armed Forces of Belarus "Zapad-2025", began loading military equipment and cargo into military transport aviation (VTA) aircraft. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

BMD-2 airborne assault vehicles and cargo on parachutes will be loaded onto the Il-76MD. After the flight, the Russian soldiers will have to land behind enemy lines.

When preparing the equipment for landing, parachute systems were installed, and the airborne assault vehicle itself was moored to the shock-absorbing system and loaded onto the aircraft.

The "Zapad-2025" exercises began on September 12 at training grounds in the Vitebsk, Minsk and Grodno regions of Belarus. They involve about 13 thousand military personnel. The maneuvers will last until September 16.
