The Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ), specializing in the production of mining equipment, has unveiled a next-generation cab. It was installed on the BELAZ-7513D dump truck, which is undergoing testing at the factory test site. This was reported by the company's press service.
The BELAZ-7513D with the new cab will be sent for operation to one of Russia's open-pit mines. In 2026, BelAZ plans to launch mass production of dump trucks with a payload capacity of 55 to 360 tons, equipped with the next-generation cab.
The design concept of the new cab was developed based on detailed information received from more than 40 BELAZ mining dump truck drivers from different countries around the world, including those with experience working with equipment from other manufacturers.
In total, 57 changes were implemented in the new cab, including:
- depth-adjustable pedal assembly
- the cab's light opening has increased by 15%
- a cooled storage box has appeared
- the seats have three-point seat belts
- a 10-inch tablet with a pre-installed intelligent monitoring system has been added to the dashboard
Igor Nateikin, a mining dump truck operator, stated that the new cab has become very comfortable. He noted the modern design and improved visibility.
The seats are very comfortable, even the passenger seat - with pneumatics! Good ergonomics, many digital technologies are used.
