Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation sent a letter to the Minister of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, with an initiative to launch a pilot project to introduce a phygital activity module into school physical education lessons.
According to parliamentarians, the interest of schoolchildren in digital technologies and esports is growing, but often this enthusiasm remains static and does not contribute to physical development. The letter emphasizes that a modern physical education lesson can integrate digital formats to motivate children to actively engage in sports.
Deputies are asking the Ministry of Education to assess the possibility of launching a pilot project in certain regions of Russia. In their opinion, such an initiative will help adapt the educational process to the digital environment, prepare schoolchildren for the modern technological world, and become a measure to prevent physical inactivity. In addition, it will allow children to develop healthy habits, even those who are passionate about computer games.
The idea of "phygital" lessons combines physical activity with digital technologies, which opens up new opportunities for interesting and effective learning in schools.
