A new stamping shop has started operations in Togliatti. It was launched by Polad Holding. The plant will produce steel components for the Lada Largus family of station wagons and vans. Polad is a leading supplier of components for AvtoVAZ.
The new production site has organized the stamping production of bumper beams, seat brackets, door and roof reinforcements, as well as engine mounts. A total of 24 items. This will increase the level of production localization and reduce dependence on external supplies.
Production processes will be carried out using rolled metal supplied by the largest Russian metallurgical companies — MMK from Magnitogorsk and NLMK from Lipetsk. To improve efficiency and quality of production, modern Chinese presses and robotic manipulators have been purchased. They automate the processes of loading and unloading blanks.
The total investment in the project amounted to 300 million rubles, of which 215 million rubles were allocated in the form of a concessional loan from the Industrial Development Fund.
