In 2025, Russian parents actively used the "Gosuslugi" portal to enroll children in first grade. According to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, more than 1.1 million applications were submitted since the beginning of the admission campaign, which is 13% more than in 2024. The service covered about two-thirds of all first-graders in the country.
The majority of applications (75%) were submitted by parents from regions where the portal is available. In Moscow and the Moscow region, registration was conducted through regional platforms. Notably, 90% of all applications were sent by mothers. The first application was received on March 18 in Norilsk, and the last one on September 5 in Voronezh.
The most active users of the service were residents of St. Petersburg, the Sverdlovsk region, Dagestan, Tatarstan, and Bashkiria. Applications were accepted in two stages: first, for children at their place of registration and beneficiaries, then for schools with remaining places. In the first stage, almost 20% of applications were received in the first minutes after the start of registration, which gave an advantage in choosing schools.
The widespread use of "Gosuslugi" simplifies the process of enrolling in schools, reduces queues and bureaucratic burden, and allows parents to plan their children's enrollment in advance.
