A rare Lada Niva SUV, manufactured in 1980, has been offered for sale in Perm. The seller has priced the car at 7 million rubles, making it the most expensive example of this model in Russia. The advertisement appeared on a car sales service.
The SUV's body has retained its factory coating, but has become dusty after decades of inactivity. The odometer reads only 62 km, so the car is classified as a collector's item. The owner emphasized that the car has never been registered and is preserved in "new condition." He clarified that he is only considering offers above 4 million rubles and considers the car a museum exhibit.
The car is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 80 hp, paired with a manual transmission. The three-door SUV has all-wheel drive, independent front suspension, and a ground clearance of 205 mm. The maximum speed is 142 km/h, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 17 seconds.
The rarity of the car is due not only to its age, but also to its unique condition. For almost 45 years, it has been owned by one owner, has not required repairs, and has retained its original documents.
Such specimens attract collectors who are willing to pay millions for cars that have remained in pristine condition. The high price reflects not only the technical characteristics, but also the historical value of the model, which has become a symbol of the Soviet automotive industry.
