In Sakhalin, each ministry is developing plans for the use of drones in their industries. This was announced by the governor of the region, Valery Limarenko, at the plenary session of the international forum "Wings of Sakhalin".
The goal of the initiative is to determine how drones can help the national economy in peacetime. The forum presented more than 70 scenarios for the use of drones: extinguishing forest fires, preventing floods, cleaning up garbage, delivering medicines and ballots to remote areas, cadastral work and other tasks.
The governor noted the effectiveness of drones in forestry: the area of forest fires was reduced by 40 times due to rapid response to fires. With the help of drones, blockages on rivers are detected and eliminated in a timely manner, which helps prevent floods and reduce damage to people and infrastructure.
