The patrol ship "Viktor Veliky" of Project 22160 may become a carrier of unmanned surface vessels (USV). The transformation of the ship into a carrier of unmanned platforms was not ruled out by military expert, Captain First Rank (Retired) Vasily Dandykin.
According to him, the new ship will significantly increase the combat capabilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
"Viktor Veliky" could very well be a carrier for USVs; it has all the capabilities for this.
Patrol ships of Project 22160 are designed for patrolling the 200-mile exclusive economic zone and for protecting territorial waters.
The arsenal of "Viktor Veliky" includes DP-65 grenade launchers, an AK-176MA artillery mount, and machine guns. Also, ships of the project can carry a container complex with Kalibr cruise missiles.
