The Avtostat analytical agency has named the most popular cars in Russia in the new car market. The calculation was carried out from January to July 2025. In total, 219.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold during this period. This is 19% less than in the same period last year.
LADA Granta still ranks first in the ranking of popular cars with 81.2 thousand cars sold. This is 29% less than last year. LADA Vesta is in second place. Its indicator: 49.6 thousand cars sold, a decrease of 31%.
LADA Niva Travel and Niva Legend SUVs showed similar results: 18.7 and 18.3 thousand cars sold, respectively. The drop in demand for these models compared to last year amounted to 36% and 32%.
Fifth on the list is the LADA Largus station wagon with 15.3 thousand cars sold. Demand for it increased 21 times compared to last year, which is due to the resumption of production. Sales of the Moskvich 3 crossover decreased by 24%, amounting to 7.1 thousand cars.
The Solaris HC (Hyundai HC) crossover became a bestseller with 4.63 thousand cars. Its sales increased 24 times compared to last year. Thanks to discounts, XCITE X-Cross 7 took eighth place with 4.62 thousand cars.
The Solaris KRS (Kia Rio) sedan is in ninth place in the ranking. Its sales increased 20 times to 3.53 thousand cars. Rounding out the top ten is the UAZ Patriot SUV with 3.2 thousand cars sold, which is 32% less than last year. The share of Russian brands in the market amounted to 33.8%.
