Test pilots of "Yakovlev" during a test flight on the "Superjet" SJ-100 reached an indicated airspeed of 324 knots (600.048 km/h), which is only 14 knots less than the limit, the United Aircraft Corporation said.
In earlier flights, UAC found that piloting in normal operation of the integrated control system (ICS) and prolonged holding of the side control stick in a dive allows reaching a speed of 334 knots, which is 3 knots less than the VD speed (dive speed, which is set as a flutter limit).
This fact once again confirms the reliability of the limiting functions of the ICS.
The flight was performed by a joint crew of test pilots from "Yakovlev" and the Aviation Register of the Russian Federation. It was noted that with any actions of the crew, the ICS reliably prevents the aircraft from going beyond the limits of indicated airspeed and Mach number.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a millionth titanium ingot for the construction of the MS-21 and SJ-100 was smelted in Russia.
