Russian President Vladimir Putin, while communicating with representatives of the nuclear industry, shared information about the development of powerful quantum computing systems in the country. According to him, these technologies open up wide prospects for creating innovative medicines, vaccines and materials, as well as for the rapid processing of colossal amounts of information.
Thanks to the efforts of Rosatom, prototypes of such systems with huge computing capabilities have already been assembled in Russia
The President noted the successful completion by Rosatom of the development of prototypes of quantum computing systems, which showed outstanding results. He also announced the construction in Obninsk, Kaluga Region, of the largest plant in Europe for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which will be used for the diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases, including oncological ones.
