The Russian company Aimoto has released the Aimoto BuddyGPT smartwatch with a built-in AI assistant based on YandexGPT and Yandex SpeechKit voice technologies. The device is aimed at preschoolers and primary school children (5–7 years old) and combines educational functions with parental control capabilities.
The generative assistant answers questions, helps with homework, and trains logic and mental arithmetic in a playful way. The "Exploring the World" section offers mini-lessons on topics ranging from space to animals, followed by a dialogue with a virtual assistant.
For content security, the model is supplemented with children's filters that exclude inappropriate topics. Parental control functions are available: the microphone is activated only by button, you can set the usage time, there is a built-in GPS tracker and the possibility of calls.
In terms of hardware, the watch is equipped with a 1.78-inch screen, a 730 mAh battery, a camera, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, as well as IP65 water protection. The device has appeared on popular marketplaces at a price of 7,500 rubles.
