Ozon has denied reports of widespread problems in warehouses, noting delays at only five facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the marketplace's press service said.
According to the company, seven out of ten orders are delivered on time in the two capitals, and there is no increase in order cancellations.
Ozon explained that it is already taking measures to eliminate local failures. To this end, additional personnel have been sent to problem warehouses, some of the goods have been redistributed to other facilities, and sellers can choose free slots at neighboring warehouses or hand over goods to pick-up points to avoid queues. The company expects the situation to stabilize in the near future.
Earlier, the St. Petersburg publication 78.ru reported a build-up of dozens of cars near the Ozon warehouse in the village of Pargolovo. According to the Telegram channel "Club of Partners in Marketplaces", in August, trucks at some warehouses stood for up to five days, and slots for shipment were occupied until September 3.
The company attributes the delays to seasonal sales growth, including school supplies, with most orders delivered on time.
