Вызывают на допрос: в МВД сообщили о новой схеме обмана россиян

Attackers pose as police officers and inform citizens of the need to appear at the station as suspects

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported a new scheme by fraudsters who send out false summons for questioning by phone or SMS. The department emphasized that an official summons is only possible by subpoena.

Attackers pose as police officers and inform citizens of the need to appear for questioning as suspects. In case of refusal, they threaten with a "forced привод" or imprisonment. The Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends ending such conversations and demanding an official subpoena. To verify the information, you can call the duty station of the police department indicated in the message.

Earlier, www1.ru reported on another method of deception — sending files in vcf format, which automatically save spoofed contacts to the address book.
