X5 Group (PJSC "Corporate Center X5") has announced the creation of a new division, X5 Robotics, which will focus on implementing robotic technologies in its operational and production processes.
According to the company's statement, X5 Robotics will be responsible for the development, testing, and scaling of automated solutions across all X5 business areas. The new division will also establish a center of expertise in the field of robotics.
X5 Robotics, as a separate line of business, will drive innovation not only within the company but also beyond.
Similar projects are already being implemented in other large Russian companies. For example, Sber is developing process automation through SBER Robotics, and Yandex is implementing autonomous technologies in logistics and delivery services.
X5 Group is the largest retail retailer in Russia in terms of revenue. As of June 30, 2025, the company's network includes 28,301 stores.
