The armored recovery vehicle BREM-1M, which became a development of the basic version of BREM-1, received a more powerful engine. The advantages of universal military equipment were named by the Rostec State Corporation.
BREM-1M was built on the chassis of the T-90 tank with an engine of 1000 hp. At the same time, the basic version of BREM-1 based on the T-72 has an engine of 840 hp, Rostec recalled.
In terms of tactical and functional characteristics, BREM-1M surpasses the "unit". The bulldozer blade allows the "emka" to be fixed on weak soils, more powerful main and auxiliary winches can pull the object out of the swamp.
BREM-1M received electric welding equipment, a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 20 tons and other devices for repairing and evacuating equipment in the field. The security of the machines is provided by dynamic protection and combined armor.
