The BREM-1M armored recovery vehicle, which has become a development of the basic BREM-1 version, has received a more powerful engine. The advantages of the universal military equipment were named by the Rostec State Corporation.
BREM-1M was built on the chassis of a T-90 tank with a 1000 hp engine. At the same time, the basic version of the BREM-1 based on the T-72 has an 840 hp engine, Rostec recalled.
In terms of tactical and functional characteristics, BREM-1M surpasses the "unit". The bulldozer blade allows the "emka" to be fixed on weak soils, and more powerful main and auxiliary winches can pull the object out of the swamp.
BREM-1M received electric welding equipment, a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 20 tons and other devices for repairing and evacuating equipment in the field. The security of the machines is provided by dynamic protection and combined armor.
