Crimean telecom operator "Miranda" has increased SMS packages fivefold for all tariffs and provided a 25% discount on the subscription fee for the "All Russia" tariffs due to the possible shutdown of mobile internet on the peninsula.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of Crimea reported that prolonged mobile internet outages are possible for the safety of the population, while cellular communication and cable internet providers will continue to operate.
The press service of "Miranda" noted that there is unlimited calls and SMS within the network.
The company is also monitoring the load and expanding voice communication channels to maintain the quality of communication during internet outages.
