Servicemen of the 5th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Guards Army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) have begun using FPV drones as mobile launchers for hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers (RPGs). This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
After the shot, the used tube is automatically dropped, and the drone continues to fly, recording the result of the hit.
Then the FPV drone returns to base to replace the batteries. The soldiers install a new RPG and send it to strike. This method allows you to effectively destroy enemy manpower in strongholds.
RPG — a type of individual small arms for destroying tanks, armored and other targets with rocket-propelled grenades. The first models of weapons appeared in the USSR in the late 1940s. RPGs differ in firing range — from 100 to 700 m, the thickness of armor penetration (180-750 mm), the ability to overcome dynamic protection.
