Sites with malware were shut down immediately after they appeared online. Dmitry Morev, Information Security Director at Rustore, said that for the company, this became an opportunity to extend user protection beyond its platform. According to him, fake applications are often found on social networks, unofficial sites, and forums, which makes them difficult to recognize.

The joint efforts of Rustore and CICADA8 are aimed at creating a safer online space. Blocking fraudulent sites has become an important step in protecting users from fraud and reducing the risks associated with using unreliable sources.
