Military personnel of the communications and electronic warfare (EW) units of the 201st Russian military base organized communication at the Lyaur mountain training ground in Tajikistan during exercises. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Radio operators organized a data transmission line using R-419 L1 radio relay stations. In addition, they used mobile radio stations R-166-05 and R-149AKSH to control units.
In mountainous terrain and the absence of direct visibility between stations, specialists used the reflected wave method from the mountain surface.
Military personnel performed tasks in conditions of radio interference.
