Development of Green Energy Continues in Russia: First Hydrogen Train Car to Be Created in September

The car will be low-floor and adapted to the infrastructure of Sakhalin

The international forum "Islands of Sustainable Development: Climate Aspect" was held in Sakhalin. The key topic of the meeting was the development of hydrogen energy in Russia.

Alexander Loshmanov announced that the first car of the hydrogen train, which will be unique to Sakhalin, will be ready in September. It will be low-floor and adapted to the local infrastructure, while maintaining the entire complex of technical solutions and services to ensure passenger comfort.

Such projects can only be implemented in synergy between several participants – the island of Sakhalin with its transport company and infrastructure, Russian Railways as the owner of the infrastructure and operating infrastructure, and us as the train manufacturer.
Alexander Loshmanov, Deputy General Director of TMH

The modern transport sector is one of the main sources of environmental pollution. Hydrogen trains reduce greenhouse gas emissions, have high energy efficiency and a virtually zero carbon footprint. Their silent operation is important for both urban and natural locations.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the production of hydrogen drives for rolling stock will be mastered in Russia.
