Photos of a New Active Protection Project Against Drones for Tanks Have Appeared

The system can automatically fire nets or barrier ammunition

A project for a new active protection system (APS) against drones for armored vehicles, including tanks, has appeared online. The novelty is presented in two versions.

The first project (image #1) involves fixed launchers that fire nets.

The second (image #2) is a rotating launcher that fires engineering barrier ammunition with a programmable detonation function.

How the System Works

When a small target appears in the visibility zone of the radar station (RLS), the computer calculates its parameters - speed, range, altitude, trajectory.

The target signal is transmitted to the system operator on the screen, marked into several zones, the intensity of which depends on the distance to the vehicle.

Both presented versions are controlled by a radar and a software and computing complex, and can be installed on both mobile and stationary objects.
