A project for a new active protection system (APS) against drones for armored vehicles, including tanks, has appeared online. The new product was presented in two versions.
The first project (image #1) involves fixed-mounted launchers that fire nets.
The second (image #2) is a rotating launcher firing engineering barrier ammunition with a programmable detonation function.
Principle of Operation of the System
When a small target appears in the visibility zone of the radar station (RLS), the computer calculates its parameters - speed, range, altitude, trajectory.
The target signal is transmitted to the system operator on the screen, marked into several zones, the intensity of which depends on the distance to the vehicle.
Both presented versions are controlled by a radar and a software and computing complex, and can be installed on both mobile and stationary objects.
