Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs) can be deployed not only in the west, but also in the east of Russia, if the situation requires it, said military analyst Igor Korotchenko.
On Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Russia no longer has the conditions to maintain a moratorium on the deployment of ground-based medium- and shorter-range missiles.
As for the eastern part of our country, the deployment of these systems will be carried out by the Russian Federation in positional areas in the east of the country.
The analyst recalled that existing missile defense systems are not capable of intercepting Oreshnik.
And this means that the warheads of the MRBMs are guaranteed to hit the designated target. Guaranteed without the possibility of being shot down.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of delivery of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
