AvtoVAZ presented the Lada Azimut crossover to the general public at the "ProDvizheniye" automobile festival, held at VDNH in Moscow. Previously, in June 2025, the car was demonstrated at the SPIEF. According to AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, mass production of the Azimut is scheduled for the first half of 2026.

A six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT is offered as a transmission. In the future, the model range will be supplemented with a 150 hp turbocharged engine, which will be paired with a classic automatic transmission.
