AvtoVAZ presented the Lada Azimut crossover to the general public at the "ProDvizheniye" automobile festival, held at VDNH in Moscow. Previously, in June 2025, the car was demonstrated at the SPIEF. According to AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, mass production of the Azimut is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
Initially, the car will be equipped with advanced power units developed by the company. Two options will be available: a 1.6-liter engine with 120 horsepower and a 1.8-liter engine producing 132 hp. A six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT is offered as a transmission. In the future, the model range will be supplemented with a 150 hp turbocharged engine, which will be paired with a classic automatic transmission.
The festival also features other cars from AvtoVAZ, including the entire Lada Iskra lineup, sports models, experimental developments, and other cars.
