Russian production facilities may be used for the assembly of the Soueast S07 crossover. The Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad is in the process of certifying this three-row SUV. It is assumed that the plant will produce modifications with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive transmissions.
The Soueast S07, which appeared in Russia at the end of 2024, is the brand's current sales leader. In fact, it is a restyled Jetour X70 Plus with a modified design. All Soueast cars are still imported from China, but recently there has been information about the certification of the flagship S09 model of Russian production. Now it has also become known about plans to localize the production of the S07.
Avtotor Avtobalt, part of the Avtotor concern, has successfully obtained a declaration of conformity for the Soueast S07 crossover (with front and all-wheel drive). This document is key to obtaining type approval (OTTS), which, in turn, will pave the way for the start of mass sales of cars in the markets of Russia and the EAEU.
The Soueast S07 is a mid-size crossover with three rows of seats. Its exact dimensions are 4724 x 1900 x 1740 mm. The wheelbase is 2720 mm. The model offers a ground clearance of 190 mm. The Soueast S07 is powered by a 1.6-liter engine with two boost options. The front-wheel drive version of the engine generates 190 hp and is paired with a 7-speed "robot". The power of the all-wheel drive modification is 186 hp. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic transmission.
