Russian railway workers, despite the hot summer, continue to repair and update track networks. Since the beginning of this year, the Russian railway network has undergone significant updates: more than 2,200 kilometers of tracks have been modernized. Special attention was paid to the Eastern Operating Domain, where work affected over 600 kilometers.
This year, a large-scale update of railway infrastructure is planned. 3,700 kilometers of tracks will be repaired, a significant part of which (1,100 kilometers) is located in the eastern regions. To carry out the work, the necessary materials have been prepared in large quantities, including more than 600 thousand tons of rails, over 2,100 sets of switch points, more than 4.5 million sleepers, and over 7 million cubic meters of crushed stone.
