Russian Geran-3 kamikaze strike drones with a jet engine have become practically invulnerable to air defense systems, in fact, becoming comparable in characteristics to cruise missiles.
Such UAVs can reach speeds of up to 800 km/h, which makes it virtually impossible to shoot them down with conventional weapons of mobile fire groups.
At this speed, a jet drone will be almost as fast as a cruise missile.
Modern guidance systems with passive radar homing or infrared sensors make intercepting the drone even more difficult. The length of the drone is 3.5 m, the wingspan is 3 m. "Geran-3" can rise to a height of up to 9.1 km and stay in the air for up to 2 hours.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest R-77M missiles with a range of 190 km have entered service with Su-35S fighters.
