Engineers in Chelyabinsk have developed the "Mole" system to protect drones from being hit by laser air defense (AD) systems of the enemy. The complex has successfully passed the tests.
Equipped with such a means of protection, a UAV, including an inexpensive FPV drone, can be used to destroy very expensive laser systems.
As the developer explained, "Mole" disables the enemy's air defense system that attacked the drone. The novelty can protect UAVs both in head-on and tail-on sections (the final stage of the drone's flight path, in which it approaches the target and prepares to hit).
The system works when the drone is flying at a speed of up to 60 km/h. One charge of "Mole" is enough to protect at a flight distance of up to 1.2 thousand meters.
