The latest Russian "Mole" system will disable laser air defense systems of the enemy

The development for the protection of UAVs belongs to Chelyabinsk engineers

Engineers in Chelyabinsk have developed the "Mole" system to protect drones from being hit by laser air defense (AD) systems of the enemy. The complex has successfully passed tests.

Equipped with such a means of protection, a UAV, including an inexpensive FPV drone, can be used to destroy very expensive laser systems.
Alexander Rodikov, designer

As the developer explained, "Mole" disables the enemy's air defense system that attacked the drone. The novelty can protect UAVs both in head-on and pursuit sections (the final stage of the drone's flight path, in which it approaches the target and prepares to engage).

The system operates when the drone is flying at speeds up to 60 km/h. One charge of "Mole" is enough to protect a flight distance of up to 1.2 thousand meters.
