In Russia, money is sometimes spent not on the needs of the army, but, for example, on the maintenance of football clubs. Vladimir Boglaev, director of the Cherepovets Foundry and Mechanical Plant (ChLMZ), spoke about the problems with the state defense order.
According to him, it would be wrong to ignore signals about obvious problems with funding.
A source that can be used to close some problems may be less important expenditure items for the country. The fact that expensive football players are supported by federal funds and the budget is annoying, but the issue is not about trillions of rubles, it's about football players.
Boglaev added that there are certainly less important expenses for the country now than defense tasks, solving issues of production, technology and defense orders.
ChLMZ manufactures components, equipment and spare parts to order for the metallurgical, petrochemical and engineering industries.
