Russia is creating a fifth-generation strategic nuclear submarine (SSBN), the President of the Russian Federation said during a working trip to the Arkhangelsk region.
The fifth-generation SSBN project received the name "Husky". According to the project, submarines of this type will combine the capabilities of a multi-purpose and strategic submarine.
The cruiser is designed to destroy enemy ships and strategic deterrence, as well as deliver strikes with high-precision weapons against ground targets.
The technical characteristics of the future submarine are currently unknown.
