A missile division of the Bal coastal missile system of the Caspian Flotilla carried out a deployment in a positional area as part of the Navy's July Storm exercises.
The crew completed a march of over 50 km. Upon arrival at the designated point, the military set up electronic warfare and air surveillance posts.
The Caspian Flotilla noted that a feature of the Bal coastal missile system is its readiness to use missile weapons in a short time and its high mobility. The Bal complex is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 120 km, and the launchers themselves can be located up to 10 km from the coast.
