The Russian Interior Ministry has published code phrases that children can use to identify phone scammers. Criminals are trying to extort money from parents through teens and are posing as school employees and representatives of government agencies.
They usually use the following verbal constructions: "your parents are suspected of a crime," "turn on the camera to conduct a search," "you need to declare money and valuables," "you are helping the investigation."
Law enforcement officials also strongly recommend not following the instructions of strangers to follow a link, not to give bank card numbers, not to open a bank application at their request, or to report the code from an SMS.
