Crews of anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (ZRPK) «Pantsir» began to use new anti-aircraft guided missiles TKB-1055, created specifically for the destruction of small-sized drones.
The target engagement range increased from 20 to 30 km and the altitude from 15 to 18 km. The volume of the protected area as a whole has increased by 3 times.
For TKB-1055, a modernized transport and launch container for four missiles was developed, which can be installed in place of a standard one with one full-size ammunition. Thanks to this, «Pantsir» can carry up to 48 anti-drone missiles.
Depending on the tasks of combat duty, the calculations of «Pantsir» will be able to install different combinations of conventional and small-sized missiles, increasing the variability of means for hitting air targets.
