Росгеология планирует продажу неиспользуемых научных судов для улучшения финансового положения

The state holding is optimizing its fleet amid a decrease in the number of contracts

In 2024, JSC "Rosgeologia" allocated 665 million rubles for the overhaul of research vessels (NIS), of which 498 million rubles were credit funds, and 167 million rubles were own funds. This data is contained in the holding's annual report. However, the total investment volume for the past year was almost half of what was planned: instead of 4.3 billion rubles, only 2.18 billion rubles were actually utilized.

A significant portion of the funds (about 30%) went to ship repairs, but the report notes an increase in "non-refundable costs for NIS downtime" due to a shortage of contracts for marine seismic surveys. In this regard, the holding adjusted the investment program: it canceled the overhaul of the vessel "Academic Alexander Karpinsky" and postponed the purchase of a hydraulic station for the NIS "Bavenit" from 2024 to 2025.

To improve financial stability in the "Shelf" cluster, a working group has been created to consider measures to optimize assets. Among the possible steps is the lifting of the ban on the sale of non-core assets and unclaimed research vessels. The financial results for 2024 were negative: a net loss under RAS amounted to 15.1 billion rubles, compared to a profit of 358 million rubles a year earlier.
