The company "Uralkriomash" (part of the "Uralvagonzavod" concern of the "Rostec" Group of Companies) has shipped the first batch of tank containers for transportation and temporary storage of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG). This was reported by the company's press service.
The KC-44/1.8 model allows transporting up to 18 tons of products at temperatures from -40°C to +50°C. The tanks are adapted for road transport, railway platforms, and sea vessels.
The containers were developed based on 40-foot standard containers commissioned by "Gazprom Helium Service". Work on creating the tank began in 2023. The first prototype was presented in 2024, and mass production started in 2025.
The total batch of special equipment represents the largest and only park of lightweight tank containers for the transportation of LPG in Russia. Deliveries are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Uralkriomash" delivered tank cars for transporting fuel to Vostochny.
