Onboard digital computers (OBCs) in fighters are needed to automate and improve the efficiency of combat missions, as well as to ensure flight safety.
The complex processes data from various sensors and aircraft systems, providing control, navigation, targeting, and other critical functions.
The "Tekhnosfera Rossiya" publication reported that the Su-57 fighters use "BagrOS 4000", developed by PJSC "Company "Sukhoi", as their operating system, optimized for multi-core processors and supporting the ARINC 653 standard.
At the same time, journalists noted that this information is current as of the late 2010s.
The Su-57 has since been seriously refined, including in terms of onboard electronics. Therefore, we do not know what OBCs are installed on it in 2025.
The OBC also controls the operation of various aircraft systems, collecting data on their status and warning the pilot of possible malfunctions or failures.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that MiG-31 fighters used hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles for the second time in three days.
