Sollers Production of Transmissions LLC (a subsidiary of the Sollers Group) has launched the production of electromechanical transfer cases at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ). This was reported by the company's press service.
The new transfer cases will be installed on UAZ vehicles (Patriot, Pickup, and all-wheel-drive Profi), as well as on Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups.
The transfer case production project includes the localization of operations such as casting, machining of the crankcase, assembly operations, and control tests. The expected total production volume will be about 20,000 units per year, and investments in the project will exceed 350 million rubles.
The launch of the production of electromechanical transfer cases is another step in the implementation of our strategy to create a Center of Competence for the production of power units at the ZMZ industrial site. The new project will allow us to master advanced technologies, create additional jobs, and ensure high localization of vehicles produced under the Sollers brand, and significantly improve the consumer properties of UAZ vehicles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that sales of Sollers cars decreased by 22.8% in the first half of 2025.
